In November 2020 Park Hood were commissioned by a private client to undertake the Concept Masterplan Design for a new luxury hotel development in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The project aims to create a high quality spa resort set with a stunning natural backdrop to the Red Sea.
The masterplan is arranged on a ‘dia-grid’ layout, keeping a central entertainment corridor open to allow unobstructed views within the central spine. The layout is zoned to provide the resort with a feeling of exclusivity and privacy, and provides scented gardens, fruit groves, and open spaces for sun-lounging.
The layout maximises the use of beachfront, whilst also providing a flexible masterplan layout that can adapt as the scheme develops.
