We were provided with a very clear brief as to the nature, scope and the extent of the work provided along with an indication of budget. Park Hood prepared using Microsoft project a programme for carrying out our appointed services which aligned within the overall design team Consultancy programme. Key milestone events and dates were established within this programme to ensure a sufficient level of client interface was achieved and signed off at key stages of the project. Cost estimates were provided by the Q.S at Stage C, Stage D and again Stages J where a pre-tender estimate was provided. Following receipt of the tender prices and Contractual appointment made a value Engineering exercise was carried out and a Construction issue package of information released to the Contractor.

Site variations to the Landscape works were issued via the project manager and costed by the Q.S and then forwarded to the client for sign off.

Cost monitoring of works on site was provided by the Q.S within a monthly cost control report.

The softscape element of the project required careful consideration in relation to programme for Completion as this works needed to be carried out according to planting season. This involved the advance preparation of tree stock for planting out of season.
