Park Hood’s design Landscape solution for the 2 parks at Airlie and Tandy detail a dynamic solution, one that marries ecological systems with contemporary Living opportunities.
Airlie Park comprises a central pedestrian esplanade running east west and divides the park into 2 zones, the south and the North.
The southern area encompasses traditional sporting events with pitches and to the North passive recreation and teen activity. Separating these is the skywalk housing all the architectural elements.
Tandy Lane Park is divided into 4 quarters a single species forest, a GAA playing field , a park space with plan and a wetland ecological / SUDS zone. Linking each of these is the pedestrian superhighway , with a gym , cycle and roller blade paths with seating and picnic areas along its length.
