HMS Caroline

Park Hood acting as Lead Landscape Architects are delighted to see our Public Realm designs for HMS Caroline’s berthing in Alexandra Dock now completed. HMS Caroline is a landmark visitor attraction in Belfast’s historic Titanic Quarter & this important project serves to further enhance the visitor experience by significantly improving access, landscaping and interpretive displays. Key elements of our designs included restoring large areas of the existing Belfast & Galleted Cobble surfacing, removing old concrete surfacing & replacing with natural stone paving & installing new railings, lighting, seating & information boards. The top image shows our original proposals for the project while those below illustrate how it translated through to the finished scheme & an environment truly benefitting for this unique survivor of The Battle of Jutland!
